Ceramic Electric Cooktops:

Have you got an old electric cooktop that’s ready for recycling?  There's no need to clean up around those old exposed heating elements anymore.  Modern ceramic electric cooktops as the name suggests come with a flat ceramic glass surface with the heating elements themselves located beneath the glass surface.  They're sturdy, safe and let you use the electric cooktop as a prep-bench when not in use and have the 'look of induction' which means they are a breeze to keep clean as they only require a wipe over with a damp cloth once the electric cooktop surface has cooled.

They can be operated by traditional rotary controls or touch controls making the surface completely uncluttered - it's just a matter of your preference.  The zone elements light up red when in operation and there are also residual heat indicators to show you which zones are still too hot to touch.  Both the TT 600 & VT CM electric cooktops have a stainless steel trim which runs around the outer edge of the cooktop offering additional protection to the glass.
